What the app actually does
The app is free and does all of this without a key. The key only gates one thing — ending a session early — which is why the list below is longer than the pitch. Everything here is built and shipping; where a capability is Android-only, the card says so.
Modes
A mode is a named set of things to block — apps, sites, feeds, channels — that you switch on in one tap.
See how it worksAndroidBlock Shorts
Spark blocks the Shorts feed inside YouTube while search, subscriptions and ordinary videos keep playing.
See how it worksFeatureSchedules
Recurring windows and one-off plans, run by the operating system so they survive the app being killed.
See how it worksAndroidApp limits
A daily budget per app that applies even with no session running — and can be locked so only the key raises it.
See how it worksFeatureWebsites
Per-mode domain blocking, an allowlist mode for study sessions, and an adult filter that needs the key to switch off.
See how it worksFeatureStats & streaks
Locked hours, the hours you slip, streaks with two lifetime freezes, and your phone's own screen time beside them.
See how it worksFeatureRooms & leaderboard
Lock in beside other people, in a private room or a public one, ranked by minutes the server actually measured.
See how it worksFeatureStrict mode
Five emergency unlocks for life — unless you turn on Strict mode, which removes them and guards the uninstall.
See how it worksThings we are asked for and do not have
- Daily tasks or habit suggestions. Not built. Our own design notes argue against daily login rewards and in-app currency, on the grounds that they make an app you open more rather than less.
- Streak milestones, badges and weekly challenges. Proposed internally, not shipped. The streak and its two freezes are real; everything decorative around them is not.
- A subscription tier. There isn’t one. The app has no paywall, no in-app purchase and no Pro plan — you buy a key once, and that is the whole commercial model.
- Blocking that a determined person cannot undo. Nothing here is that, and this site never claims it. Strict mode raises the cost; it does not close every door.

Make the undo cost a walk.
Everything above is free. The key is what turns “end session” from a tap into a walk to another room — which is the part that makes the rest hold.
