The product

Spark is a small physical key that works with the free Spark app. There are two kinds: the Bluetooth Spark, which runs on a CR2032 coin cell, and the NFC Spark, which has no battery. You lock the apps you choose from the app — with Lock now or a schedule — and locking never needs the key. To unlock, you hold your phone against the Bluetooth Spark for about 15 seconds, or tap it to the NFC Spark. Nothing locks or unlocks because of how near the key is. The app is free and has no subscription.

Calls always get through.On Android, the phone dialler, contacts, Settings, home-screen launchers and emergency apps can never be blocked. Any other app you put in a mode — Maps and your alarm clock included — is blocked while a session runs, so leave out anything you might need. On iPhone, blocking uses Apple's Screen Time, and Apple's rules decide what can be blocked.

Spark is a focus aid, not a security device or a parental-control guarantee. The unlock checks that the key is at the phone; it is not cryptographic security. The Bluetooth Spark's signal can be recorded and replayed, and the NFC Spark is a standard tag that can be copied. On Android, Strict mode adds friction rather than a lock — turning off the Accessibility permission or starting the phone in Safe Mode gets past it — and a determined person can factory-reset a phone. We describe it honestly and you should buy it on that basis.

Using your Spark

• An account, once. Pairing a Spark needs a free Spark account and an internet connection. The app will not lock until a Spark is paired.
• One Spark per account. Once paired, a Spark belongs to that account and cannot be transferred to another one.
• One active phone. An account is active on one phone at a time; signing in on a new phone moves it there.
• Supported phones. An iPhone on iOS 17 or later, or an Android phone on Android 12 or later. The NFC Spark also needs a phone with an NFC reader.
• Five emergency unlocks. Every account has five, for good — they do not refill. Strict mode hides them, so with Strict mode on only your Spark can end a session.
• iPhone. Deleting the Spark app from an iPhone ends a session that is running.

Prices and payment

All prices on this site are shown excluding GST. GST (18%) is added at checkout, and the total displayed before you pay is the amount you will be charged. Delivery within India is free. Per-unit prices fall as you buy more; the applicable rate is calculated on your whole order and shown in your cart before payment.

We may change prices at any time, but never for an order already placed — the price you saw at checkout is the price recorded on your order.

Orders

An order is confirmed when your payment is captured, not when you submit the form. If payment fails, nothing is charged and no order exists. We may cancel and fully refund an order if we cannot fulfil it.

Cancellation, refunds and warranty

Set out in full in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: a paid order is dispatched within the days shown on your order and cannot be cancelled before then; if we miss that date you may cancel for a full refund. A preorder is reserved with a deposit, and the deposit is not refunded if you cancel or do not pay the balance in the time given — it is refunded in full only if your Spark is not ready by the date we promised. A reservation is not a sale until the balance is paid. After dispatch there are no refunds; a Spark that arrives damaged or does not work is replaced if you tell us within 7 days of delivery, with a photo. A 1-year warranty covers manufacturing defects.

Liability

We are responsible for delivering a working product and honouring the warranty above. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — missed deadlines, lost work, or anything arising from your phone being locked or unlocked. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India.
