Delete your Spark account

From inside the app

Open the Spark app and go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Confirm, and the deletion runs immediately — no email exchange, no waiting period, no retention “in case you change your mind”.

What gets deleted

• Your account itself, including your sign-in identity with Clerk.
• Everything the app synced: block lists, schedules, limits and focus-session history.
• Your key bindings — the record that a key belongs to you.
• Your display name, date of birth and profile photo.
• Your device records and push token.

What we keep

Orders. If you bought a key, the order and its GST invoice are kept as a guest purchase record — no longer tied to an account — because tax law requires us to retain invoices for its statutory period. The full retention list is in the Privacy Policy.

If you no longer have the app

Email akshay@heyspark.workfrom the address your account is registered to, asking us to delete it. We will respond within 30 days, as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires — in practice it is much faster. Writing from the registered address is how we know the request is yours; if you have lost access to that too, say so and we will verify another way.

Data on the phone itself

Deleting the account erases what our servers hold. The copy on your phone — block lists, local history, settings — is removed by the app's Delete all data option in Settings, or simply by uninstalling Spark. Signed out, the app stores everything locally anyway, so uninstalling removes all of it.
