Delete your Spark account

From inside the app

Open the Spark app and go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Confirm, and the deletion runs immediately — no email exchange, no waiting period, no retention “in case you change your mind”.

What gets deleted

• Your account itself, including your sign-in identity with Clerk.
• Everything the app synced: your modes (apps, websites and YouTube channels), schedules, limits, settings and session history, including emergency unlocks used.
• Your key records — the record that a Spark belongs to you, including the encrypted copy of its unlock credential — and the link between your account and your orders.
• Your display name, date of birth and profile photo, and your place in any focus rooms.
• Your phone records and push token.

What we keep

• Orders. If you bought a Spark, the order and its invoice record are kept as a guest purchase — no longer tied to an account — because tax law requires us to retain them for its statutory period.
• Your @handle, retired. It is not freed for someone else to take: it has appeared beside your name in focus rooms, and handing it to a stranger would let them pass as you. The handle stays reserved for good, linked to nobody.
• Referral-programme records, anonymised. If you earned or were paid commission, your affiliate record is kept with your contact and payout details removed, because payout records are tax records. If tax (TDS) was deducted from a payout, your PAN is kept with it. If you never earned anything, the record is deleted.

If you no longer have the app

Email akshay@heyspark.work from the address your account is registered to, asking us to delete it. We will respond within 30 days — in practice it is much faster. Writing from the registered address is how we know the request is yours; if you have lost access to that too, say so and we will verify another way.

Data on the phone itself

Deleting the account erases what our servers hold. The copy on your phone — your modes, local history and settings — is removed by the app's Delete all data option in Settings, or by uninstalling Spark.
